Kawhi Leonard came off the bench and scored 14 points as the LA Clippers beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA on Thursday night. Leonard, who is coming back after being out for a year, looked great and had no difficulty in finding the basket. He played 21 minutes and scored 14, while having 7 rebounds and two assists.

The other good news for the Clippers is the debut of John Wall. Wall has had rotten luck with injuries so far and it was a surprise when the Clippers bought him in the off season. Like Kawhi, Wall too came off the bench and played 25 minutes scoring 15 while having 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Kawhi, Wall & co score in double digits

If this game is anything to go by, the Clippers look like a well oiled machine and primed to take on the league. Paul George, Marcus Morris, Ivica Zubac, John Wall, Kawhi Leonard and Luke Kennard all scored in double digits and looked solid defensively. If they manage to keep George and Kawhi healthy and if you add Wall to the mix, you have a tried and tested triumvirate of established players that can change the game in an instant.

Familiar struggles for Lakers

As for the Lakers, LeBron James scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds while Anthony Davis and Lonni Walker scored 25 and 26 points respectively. Russell Westbrook had a bad game as he struggled offensively yet again. He only scored 2 points in his 27 minutes on the court.

Fans on social media were ecstatic as Leonard and Wall made their comeback and in this article, we will take a look at the best reactions.
