The Houston Rockets will take on the Atlanta Hawks on October 19. Then, they face Memphis Grizzlies on October 21. NBA teams will be allowed to hold training camps later this month, and the Houston Rockets have announced that this year’s camps will begin in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on September 27. Media Day was held the previous day, September 26. increase. The Houston Rockets promised a rebuilding process in his 2020-21 campaign, but the 2021-22 season was their first full campaign, and it was demolished, handing the steering wheel to a young boy. As expected, the Rockets lost many games and ended up with the lowest number of wins in the NBA (20-62). They made some moves during the season, but nothing significant that shook up the process.

Houston Rockets Roster

After a crowded 2022 draft, it’s clear the Houston Rockets already have some key elements of a rebuild on their list. Along with Jabari Smith Jr., Tari Eason, and Titi Washington, Houston has added his distinct talents. Smith will definitely get the starting roll out of the gate. Despite being on his younger side, he quickly projects himself to be an effective shooter and defender in his NBA. The only concern is whether he will fit into Houston’s current backcourt.

As someone who gets his money’s worth out of the ball, there’s nothing to worry about, but guards Jalen Greene and Kevin Porter aren’t exactly known as presenters. Talented and will eventually go wrong. Eason’s role would be interesting. He doesn’t fit seamlessly into every offense right now, but he’s still talented enough to earn minutes. If he can make fewer mistakes early on and play on offense while still providing good defense, there’s a reasonable chance he’ll be able to break the starting lineup before the end of the year. Washington is truly in the era of decision-makers and facilitators to help Smith, but the current backcourt is unlikely to see anything but backup guards at best.
