The Golden State Warriors find themselves grappling with road woes once more. Enduring a five-game slump away from home, the Warriors aim to put an end to it on Tuesday night as they face the Phoenix Suns. These recent challenges harken back to the previous season, where Golden State struggled with an 11-30 road record, ranking among the bottom three teams with the poorest performances on the road.

The Golden State Warriors are aiming to break free from their current season slump as they face off against Phoenix. The Suns, anticipating the first-time collaboration of Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker on the court, hope to unleash their full firepower.

Beal is set to hit the court on Tuesday, marking only his fourth appearance this season and the first since November 12. Battling back issues, he has been sidelined for the past 12 games.

Key matchups

The Suns have been struggling as of late, dropping four out of their last five games. The lone triumph in this stretch came against the Memphis Grizzlies, a team with one of the poorest records in the NBA.

A stumbling block in Golden State’s ongoing road struggle occurred in Phoenix on November 22. The Warriors suffered a setback in that match, losing 123-115, with Stephen Curry recording a season-low 16 points while the former Warriors star, Durant, racked up an impressive 32 points for the Suns.

Since that game, Curry has been on fire, averaging 29.5 points over the course of six matchups. In three of those games, he’s scored at least 31 points. Notably, he put up 34 points on Friday in a hard-fought 138-136 overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In that game, the Warriors made a staggering 29 turnovers, resulting in 35 points for Oklahoma City. This marked their 10th loss in 14 games and pushed them two games below .500, a position they find themselves in over 25 percent into the season.
