Stephen Curry was looking for a helping hand and got it from Andrew Wiggins as the Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics 104 – 94 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals at the Chase Center and in the process took a 3-2 lead. Wiggins had the best game of his career as he dropped 26 points and had 13 rebounds. Stephen Curry on the other hand had 16 points with 8 assists while Klay Thompson added 21 points as Golden State took a firm grip of the series heading into Game 6.

Draymond praises Wiggins

After the game, Wiggins said, “It’s something I dreamt about for sure, being in the league, and this is the ultimate stage. It doesn’t get bigger than this.” Draymond Green, who had a decent night with 8 points, 6 assists and 8 rebounds had high praise for Wiggins. “Coming into this year, he was an All-Star starter for a reason,” Green said. “The bigger the challenge has been that we’ve thrown in front of him, the bigger he’s responded. You want a guy like that. When the stage gets big, they respond and play their best basketball, and that’s what he’s been doing.”
