Another day is another nightmare for the Los Angeles Lakers fans. Earlier, the problem seemed that the Lakers could not take the lead, but now it seems they cannot hold one. Indiana Pacers rallied from a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter for a stunning 116-115 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night. Anthony Davis had 25 points and Tyrese Haliburton scored 24 points and hit a tying layup with 39 seconds left for the Pacers, who trailed 101-84 early in the fourth, which was enough to seal the deal for the Lakers. It was Davis’ lack of effort in the second half that infuriated Stephen A. Smith. The Los Angeles Lakers had full control of the game up until the fourth quarter when the pacers found form. Stephen A. Smith “Anthony Davis should have demanded [the basketball], and LeBron James should’ve made sure of it, that Anthony Davis had the ball to take more than two shots in the fourth quarter.”

Stephen A. Smith wants to know what happened to Anthony Davis.

NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith who once called Davis, recently defended his argument that AD is a top-7 player in the NBA when he’s healthy. It seems that his love for the player has been abandoned over this abysmal loss against the upcoming eastern-conference team. He said, “I’d take Anthony Davis over Luka. I’d take Anthony Davis over Jokic. Yes, I would.”

Later on, Smith changed his statement and said, “I came on the air and talked about how Anthony Davis was a top-seven player. I take it back. Damn it, he doesn’t look like it. … What has happened to Anthony Davis?”

Anthony Davis had 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Lakers. The fourth quarter saw a complete failure in the Lakers’ offense and Defence. Stephen A. Smith’s anger could be because Davis missed one of two free throws in crunch time. Prior to that, the Pacers missed three consecutive layups and tip-in attempts in the final minute. The game ended in a buzzer-beater defeat for the Lakers.

Stephen A. Smith blames Davis’ aggressiveness for the Los Angeles Lakers’ collapse

It was a sour loss that the Lakers suffered on Monday. For Stephen A. Smith to blame Davis for it, all seems egregious. Multiple Lakers committed fouls late in the quarter, but the game never went t the free throws for the Pacers. LeBron James had 21 as he made a clutch shot in the last two minutes, but the Pacers had all the momentum. Anthony Davis scored three points in the final quarter. He took two shot attempts in the 12 minutes of the final quarter. Is Stephen A. Smith’s anger misdirected?
