The Detroit Pistons will welcome the OKC Thunder to Little Caesars Arena for an NBA preseason game on Tuesday. The Pistons have had a bad preseason so far as they lost the two games that they played with the latest coming one in a 107-101 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Saddiq Bey top scored Detroit with 23 points and had seven rebounds while Isaiah Stewart and Jaden Ivey dropped 14 points each with the latter also having six assists.
Kemba Walker and the Pistons have agreed to buyout the contract so that he can walk away but so far, the offer has been unacceptable to Walker. Speaking on the situation, Kemba said, “I’ve got something in the tank, for sure. I feel great. I’m going to be honest. I’m going to have my opportunity. I’m not in any rush right now. I’m just grinding and trying to feel as good as I can. And right now, I feel great. I feel as good as I’ve felt in a long time. I’m just waiting for the opportunity.”
On the other hand, the OKC Thunder lost their last preseason game 98-96 to the Dallas Mavericks. In the absence of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey took over as he scored 13 points while Jalen Williams dropped 10 points. Shai will not feature in this game as he has been ruled out with a knee issue. Both Mike Muscala and Chet Holmgren will not feature either with the former ruled out completely for the preseason. Chet is recovering from the surgery he had on his ankle.
