Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks will try to put an end to the Boston Celtics’ nine-game winning streak when they face off on Friday night. Doncic, who is currently the NBA’s top scorer, celebrated his 25th birthday with an impressive performance, scoring 30 points, dishing out 16 assists, and grabbing 11 rebounds in Wednesday’s 136-125 win against the Toronto Raptors. This marked Doncic’s 11th triple-double of the season. He’s been averaging 34.4 points, 9.7 assists, and 8.8 rebounds per game this season.

Doncic has been on fire, scoring at least 25 points in nine consecutive games, and he’s even gone over 40 points twice during that run. However, there’s some uncertainty about his availability for Friday’s game due to a sprained left ankle.

Kyrie Irving also had a strong game, contributing 29 points for the Mavericks, who managed to break a two-game losing streak. P.J. Washington also had a solid performance, finishing with 23 points.
