The Chicago Bulls will play the Philadelphia 76ers in an NBA Summer League game at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on July 16. Both these teams will be playing this encounter as a mere formality as they have both not qualified for the championship game.
The Bulls are coming off a stunning 89-73 win against the Charlotte Hornets. Dalen Terry led the way for them as he scored 20 points on 66.7% shooting from the field. Marko Simonovic had yet another impressive outing where he scored 17 points and bagged 13 boards on the night. Makur Maker and Malcolm Hill also contributed with 11 points off the bench for the Bulls. Chicago were elite on the defensive end in the first half as they only conceded 24 points in the first half. The Hornets tried their level best to come back in the second, but it had gotten too late for them.
Meanwhile, the 76ers are coming into the game on the back of a dominant 97-71 win against the Denver Nuggets. Grant Riller racked up 18 points on 53.8% shooting from the field. His contributions from the bench helped the 76ers get going in the first half. Trevelin Queen also had a good game where he scored 17 points, while also grabbing 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The likes of Isaiah Joe and Justin Smith also chipped in with 14 and 10 points respectively. Once again, the 76ers were brilliant on the defensive end. They were locked in throughout the game and this eventually paved the way for the win.
Both teams have not submitted an injury report for this game. If things work well, the coaches will try and go with their best starting lineup for the encounter.
