The Charlotte Hornets will take on the Boston Celtics at Greensboro Coliseum for an NBA preseason game on Friday. The Hornets lost their last preseason game 122-97 to the Indiana Pacers. All their starters started the game and they had a good run out. Terry Rozier top scored with 18 points and had five assists and three rebounds while star man LaMelo Ball dropped 12 points and dished out seven assists.
Hornets coach Steve Clifford said about his team, “The offensive rebounding and defensive transition go together and to me, we have to be able to do both. It’s a way you can get those energy points, relief points that can put you over the top. Against the really good defensive teams, we have to have more ways to move them.”
The Boston Celtics on the other hand lost their match against the Toronto Raptors 125-119. The game saw a lot of the big stars get minutes and that will bode well as the season draws near. Jaylen Brown backed up his performances from the first game and scored 23 points in 27 minutes while Jayson Tatum dropped 18 points and had 10 rebounds.
Sam Hauser had yet another great game as he scored 22 points and was 5 of 8 from the three point line. After the coach Boston’s interim coach Joe Mazzulla sang Hauser’s praises and said, “His confidence comes from his work ethic. He works really hard, does a great job of playing off others, and takes what the defense gives him.”
