The Philadelphia Phillies won their ninth straight game on Saturday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0. Zack Wheeler pitched six scoreless innings, Bryson Stott hit his fourth home run in as many games, and the Phillies held an opponent scoreless for the sixth time this season. The team’s current nine-game victory run is the team’s longest since July 29 – August 6, 2011. The longest victory streak in team history is 13 games, which occurred in 1991. Miami is 6-4 SU in its previous ten games, including a three-game sweep of the Washington Nationals on Tuesday and Thursday.

With the Phillies on a winning spree Marlins may find it hard to play and win against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Marlins also won their previous match against the Astros, and they beat them 5-1 to secure their win. Still it can’t be said which team may win but if gone statistically Phillies have the upper hand and they may be victor in their match.
