Dutch racing driver Hendrik Johannes Nicasius “Nyck” de Vries is a current Formula One competitor for Scuderia AlphaTauri. After failing to secure a seat in Formula One for the 2020 Formula One season, De Vries was announced on September 11 as a driver for the new Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team for the 2019–20 Formula E season alongside Stoffel Vandoorne. The team’s record at the end of the campaign was 1-2, with Vandoorne leading De Vries, who placed 11th overall with 60 points. De Vries and Stoffel Vandoorne continued to race for Mercedes during their final Formula E season.
