Lewis Hamilton is a British racing driver who was born on January 7, 1985, in Stevenage, England. He is the most successful driver in history, having won more races than anybody else and finishing as World Champion seven times. Lewis Hamilton began his Formula One career in 2007 with McLaren, where he was paired with two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso. It was evident that Hamilton was unique after defeating the Spaniard in his debut season. After a very insane 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix, he would go on to win his first World Championship the following year. From then, McLaren struggled to provide Hamilton with a car capable of bringing him his second championship, but things would soon change.

Hamilton joined the Mercedes team in 2013, which was a surprise move at the time. Far from being the dominant force they are now, Hamilton stepped into the seat vacated by seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher, and was tasked with bringing the Silver Arrows up the standings alongside Nico Rosberg. And he would, as 2014 marked the start of the turbo-hybrid era, as well as Mercedes’ supremacy in Formula One, with Hamilton being a seven-time champion and Mercedes holding a record seven Drivers’ titles and eight Constructors’ titles. Hamilton has numerous Formula One records, including the most career points, Grand Prix victories, pole positions, and points in a single season.

Cullen began working for Hintsa Performance in 2015. She replaced Hamilton’s mentor, Aki Hintsa, who had passed away, as his physiotherapist and assistant. Cullen, who is also referred to as his chauffeur and confidante, assumed the position in 2016. It was disclosed on March 17, 2023, that Angela would no longer collaborate with Lewis Hamilton. She resides in the French Alps and has two kids, a son and a daughter.

Why did Angela Cullen quit her job as Hamilton’s physio?

As per planetF1.com, there was a lot of speculation and rumours after the split, but Hamilton has confirmed that Cullen just needed a change of scenery after spending so many days, weeks, and months away from his family and friends over the years.

“It’s an incredibly challenging role I think for for anyone in those positions,” Hamilton told Sky F1. “It is a lot of travelling and a lot of time away from your family and you grow incredibly close together. If you’re at dinner, during your weekends and while you’re travelling, it’s usually you, your trainer or physio, your family or whatever it may be, it’s incredibly intimate in that sense. And you become great friends.”

“Angela is living her life right now. She’s got so many great ideas of things she wants to do. We talk and message pretty much every day. We’re still going to go skydiving together and we’re always going to be in each other’s lives. We’re stuck with each other, unfortunately or fortunately. We’ve been through thick and thin so I’m grateful our relationship is as good as it is and I think we’ve probably had one of the longest relationships in the sport, so incredibly grateful for her and I love her dearly.”
