Nyck de Vries is a Dutch racing driver who is currently the reserve driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. In 2023, he will become a full-time driver for Scuderia AlphaTauri. He won the 2020-21 Formula E World Championship, the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship, and the 2010 and 2011 Karting World Championships. In 2008, De Vries won the WSK World Series as well as the German Junior Championship in the KF3 category. De Vries joined Rapax in the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2017. He finished seventh in the championship, the second-highest of any rookie. De Vries was crowned F2 champion after his fourth and final victory of the season, which came at the penultimate round in Sochi.
