The Monaco Grand Prix is contested on the Circuit de Monaco every year in late May or early June. It has been run since 1929 and is widely regarded as one of the most significant and famous automotive races in the world. The track has been described as “an extraordinary location of splendor and grandeur. According to Enzo Ferrari, a win at Monaco is worth half a world title. Every driver on the grid this weekend would give his eye teeth to win it just once, but what about those unique racers that dominate the streets of Monte Carlo on a regular basis?

Ayrton Senna

Ayrton Senna da Silva was a Brazilian racing driver who won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship in 1988, 1990, and 1991. Senna is one of three Formula One drivers from Brazil to win the World Championship and won 41 Grands Prix and 65 pole positions, with the latter being the record until 2006. He died in an accident while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, driving for the Williams team. Senna is the driver with most wins at the Monaco GP with 6 wins. He won it in 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993.

Michael Schumacher and Graham Hill

Michael Schumacher a German former racing driver who competed in Formula One for Jordan, Benetton, Ferrari, and Mercedes. Schumacher has a joint-record seven World Drivers’ Championship titles tied with Lewis Hamilton. Graham Hill was a British racing driver and team owner, who was the Formula One World Champion twice, in 1962 and 1968. Both the drivers won the prestigious race 5 times. Schumacher in 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001 and Hill in 1963, 1964, 1965, 1968, 1969.

Alain Prost

Alain Prost is a French retired racing driver and Formula One team owner. A four-time Formula One Drivers’ Champion, from 1987 until 2001 he held the record for most Grand Prix victories until Michael Schumacher surpassed Prost’s total of 51 victories at the 2001 Belgian Grand Prix. In 1999, Prost received the World Sports Award of the Century in the motor sport category. The Frenchman won the grand event 4 times in the years 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1988.

Other drivers who have pretty much dominated the beautiful venue are Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton winning it 3 times in their illustrious career.
