Since two teams must compete to defeat their rivals, competition is at the core of VALORANT gameplay. Players already have the opportunity to compete against opponents of comparable skill in the ranked playlist, but some devoted teams have made it clear that they want a more competitive setting. The brand-new Premier game mode will serve in this capacity by offering a tournament system for committed teams.

Players can create a five-person team to compete in a more competitive setting than the standard ranked mode in the VALORANT Premier game mode, which acts as a new path-to-pro mode. Weekly matches will take place from July 20 through August 12, and the final playoff bracket for each skill division will be determined on August 13. Enrollment will be available from July 21 through July 20. When stage one of Premier debuts, your squad, past victories, and Premier MMR will be carried over. The conclusion of VCT Champions 2023 in late August will precede the full launch of Premier.

Premier can be accessed from the VALORANT main menu by pressing the Play button. Players must be in good standing with Riot, have finished rank placements at least once throughout their account history, and have their accounts verified via SMS to play Premier.

Teams will compete in as many as weekly matches on a featured map during a Premier season. Zones have unique queue windows. Teams receive 100 points for a victory, 25 points for a defeat, and no points if they choose not to compete. After the season, teams with at least 375 points will be eligible to compete. There are eight teams in each playoff bracket.

There will be an enrollment period for players to form teams before the start of weekly matches during a season (or during the beta phase). Between five and seven players can make up a team, or players can join an existing team. You are unable to participate in the season if you miss enrollment. Season-long player additions are permitted as long as they don’t force the team to move up or down a skill level.

There are no restrictions on the player ranks within a team; however, a team’s placement in a skill division will be determined by the MMR of its top five players, whether they are all in the same rank or at completely different ranks. Teams will receive recommendations based on the lowest average server latency when choosing their regional zone during the enrollment process.
