Riot Games is getting ready to introduce a new Protocol member and a new game mode in VALORANT as Episode Seven’s June 27 release date approaches. Riot whetted the public’s appetite on June 14 with the release of a catchy teaser featuring the cute couple Killjoy and Raze and some exciting hints about what is about to happen.

In addition to serving as a welcome reminder of the ongoing Pride Month, the teaser showed Killjoy and Raze working feverishly to fix the Boom Bot as Killjoy’s diagnostics tablet assumed an unsettling, potentially compromised state. If you need more information about VALORANT’s romantic trailer teases an upcoming agent and a new game mode, then read carefully, and don’t forget to share with your friends.

However, the cautious intruder had much more to show off before the teaser came to an end. The tablet’s display turned red, indicating an invasion by an unidentified force, and a few existing VALORANT maps’ blueprints were made visible. It’s interesting to note that each map’s name changed into a different title as it appeared on the screen, almost as if the “hacker” had renamed them.

Even though Ascent became “Plazza,” Split became “District,” and Bind became “Kasbah,” the lovers weren’t entirely apart. Killjoy felt strange, but as she turned to look at her tablet, the hacking state quickly disappeared to reveal a normal state.

The compromised program was reactivated as soon as Killjoy started working again with Raze, and it showed an intriguing message, demonstrating the hacker’s cunning and desire for blood. Program Execution for R.V.N.G. / (Y/N)?

Some things can be inferred even though the teaser was too brief and lacking in supporting details. The renamed maps first referred to the features of the upcoming Team Deathmatch (TDM) mode, which has been given the fictitious name “HURM.”

Riot’s Andy Ho has confirmed that TDM will include “maps built specifically for the mode” if you missed VALORANT’s “What’s next in 2023” announcement on June 5. Putting the pieces together, it appears that Kasbah, District, and Plazza are three of the new maps chosen especially for TDM. Whether the mode will debut with just these three maps is still unknown, but now that the teaser is online, you can anticipate the release of the full trailer shortly.

Well-known VALORANT leaker Mike claimed that the full trailer, dubbed “LET THE GAMES BEGIN,” would be released in the following 36 hours and would center on TDM. So don’t miss out; it might also throw in a few for the new agent.

Therefore, today’s teaser might have hinted that the upcoming agent is vindictive (like Fade) and possibly a cyber expert (like Cypher). The unknown entity responsible for the compromise on Killjoy’s tablet may be the agent’s Omega Earth counterpart, but at this point, everything is just conjecture, so take it with a grain of salt. The most recent teaser hinted that Team Deathmatch’s world may have a compelling backstory, with our newest protector of Alpha Earth serving as the main protagonist.
