While an idea for an interesting Valorant map and mechanic combo has been scrapped for now, it could still take off in the future.
Not every idea is a good one, just ask anyone investing in crypto. But sometimes, good ideas don’t stay bad forever. And while an idea for an interesting Valorant map and mechanic combo has been scrapped for now, it could still take off in the future. The next map set to join the Valorant map pool has been revealed as Lotus, an ancient location with three spike sites, revolving doors and destructible environments inspired by Indian architecture. If you need more information about VALORANT’s new ancient temple map Lotus then read carefully and don’t forget to share with your friends.
But an original design for the map took place in an entirely different locale, with a unique mechanic that might not have been received quite as well.”When designing Lotus, I was originally envisioning a space station and an airlock mechanic that would seal off large areas of the map,” said level designer Joe Lansford. “It didn’t turn out fun, so we scrapped the idea and went in that direction to what we have today.”
This space station map and airlock mechanic would have been the first in Valorant to permanently shut down an area of the map. Upon climbing, players can close two separate doors that provide paths to each site, but both doors can be destroyed. An airlock mechanic could be implemented on a Valorant map in the future, though, if done right. Most actual airlocks have two doors with a compartment to help with the pressure issue, hence the idea of an airlock with two doors in which one has to be closed to open the other, if implemented correctly.
It could be fun if you go. Even if an airlock is not included,A space station with large space window corridors that give players gorgeous interstellar views would be aesthetically pleasing. But, of course, gameplay comes first, comes with VALORANT’s New Ancient Temple Map Lotus was Almost a Space Station With an Interstellar Mechanic.
This isn’t the first ambitious idea Riot has decided to flesh out. Prior to Pearl’s release, Lansford revealed that early versions of the map, originally nicknamed “The Pit”, included an open pit that players could locate on the site.Lotus will go live when Episode Six, Act One begins on January 10.
