Practice In Deathmatch:

Deathmatches can feel a bit frantic, so it might be best to jump into them after you’ve warmed up a bit. We should be feeling pretty hot by now, so we’re ready to jump into a deathmatch. Don’t play to kill; Deathmatch is a place where you practice and warm-up your aim; Peek aggressively instead of camping for the kill. This will help you to evaluate your target potential. Always watch the enemy’s footsteps; Knowing where they are through their moves, combined with crosshair placement, will get you the easiest kills in VALORANT. Instead, hold down the areas where you spawn and focus on your crosshair placement. Once again, just focus on headshots and try not to get sprayed. Try using sheriff or guardian only to help you focus on this.

Range Practice:

Players who just want to warm up their flicks and aim can participate in a quick practice session to loosen up their wrists and get in the mindset for headshots. You can also turn up the heat by turning on Hard Mode, which gives the player only a few seconds to take down bots that spawn. It’s relatively difficult but a good way to prepare for the real deal.

If you think medium is too easy, set it to hard and aim for a score of around 15-20. Focus on lining up your crosshairs at head height and only horizontal movements for click heads. After you’ve done this a few times right behind the barrier, you can make it harder for yourself and go back to the south wall. Attempting shots from this range adds another level to your warm-up, your flicks should be more accurate.

Aimlabs Practice:

It’s free on Steam and has a wide variety of functions that will benefit us both in general warm ups and target practice. Make sure you have ‘Game Profile’ set to VALORANT under Control in Settings and match your settings accordingly. The free program can be downloaded from Steam and has a full list of exercises that train your aim, speed, and more. There are also game-specific drills that help you train on specific maps and in specific situations. For example, if there’s a corner you can’t hold against the attacking team, you can search for a scenario that simulates it in Aimlabs, so you can practice it over and over again.
