Since the release of Ultimate MvC3 in November 2011, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been content complete, however, the community surrounding the game has remained vibrant even after a decade, competing and developing their own content. After years of work, a skilled crew of modders is teaming up to develop a new version of the game that will significantly increase the game’s already large 50-character roster.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Community Edition is an unofficial version that will be distributed as a mod package for the base UMvC3 game on PC and will have over 50 new characters from prior projects entering the roster. The trailer mostly features new footage of Dan, Newo, Thing, and Gene from Fantastic Four, as well as new costumes for old characters.

There is no definite release date for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Community Edition, and while it will be a separate download from the basic game, it will be free for all gamers because it is a mod and not an officially licensed game release.
