The team in VCT Americas with the highest viewership may not move ahead to the playoffs:

According to Esports Charts, all three of the top three matches across VCT Americas thus far—indeed, across all three international VCT leagues—were Sentinels contests. Nearly half of the audience for their most recent match against LOUD, in which Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen made his Sentinels debut in place of Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, who was on rest, cracked the 500,000 viewer mark.

Brazil was very interested in the Sentinels vs. LOUD match because it was the first time that reigning world champions Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi and Bryan “pANcada” Luna faced off against current teammates on LOUD. This match was bound to draw spectators given the introduction of Marved, the clash of former LOUD champions, and the attention surrounding the dramatic start to Sentinels’ season. In the end, it was a gripping series that went the distance.

However, Sentinels ultimately suffered another defeat, dropping to a 1-3 record in the midst of the VCT Americas super week. From this point on, their schedule does ease up a bit as they play four games against teams like MIBR, Cloud 9, Evil Geniuses, and currently winless KRÜ. They must win out going forward and receive support from other teams in order to crack the top six if they are to qualify for the playoffs.

Sentinels’ anticipation and on-guard attention were evident from the very beginning of the season when their VCT Americas match against 100 Thieves drew over 400K viewers. This record wasn’t surpassed until the aforementioned match between LOUD and Sentinels. The third-week match between Sentinels and Leviatán is the third-most watched VCT Americas contest.

However, Sentinels are not the only ones supporting VCT Americas. The three Sentinels matches mentioned above, as well as LOUD vs. Cloud9 and LOUD vs. MIBR, all five of the most-watched VCT Americas match had higher peak viewership than the most-watched matches in VCT EMEA (BBL vs. Karmine Corp.) and VCT Pacific (ZETA DIVISION vs. Global Esports). The scales must be tipped in favor of co-streaming, especially for big names like Tarik who draw large audiences to their co-streams, sometimes even outnumbering concurrent viewers of the main broadcast itself, as is always the case with VALORANT viewership, particularly in the Americas region.
