This year’s much-awaited League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) has a brand-new structure that features the debut of an interregional competition called the Worlds Qualifying Series. Everything you need to know about the Worlds Qualifying Series, including its structure, participating teams, and viewing locations, is provided here before the event begins.

The Worlds Qualifying Series (WQS) is a competition that takes place before Worlds. League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) and League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) fourth seeds will compete in a best-of-five series for the final position in the Worlds 2023 Play-Ins. The WQS is only open to the LCS and LEC this year, but Riot Games intends to expand it to more areas soon.
