The first significant offseason event may accelerate the timeline for roster changes

However, the 2022 event was special because it took place before the partnership era officially began. The playoffs for the Masters, Champions, or even their own region were missed by some of the aforementioned teams last year.

After the first VCT season of the partnership period, many VALORANT teams had a lengthy offseason during which they had to wait months before playing again. However, some teams will be taking part in some of the larger official OFF//SEASON competitions, so roster changes may happen sooner rather than later.

The first team to be invited to the Red Bull Home Ground competition in Tokyo this November is 100 Thieves. After a late-season collapse and an unexpected loss to MIBR in the final week of VCT Americas deprived them of a chance at the playoffs and at Masters Tokyo, 100T missed out on heading to Tokyo earlier this year. If you need more information about The first significant offseason event that may accelerate the timeline for roster changes, then read carefully, and don’t forget to share with your friends.

The first significant offseason event may accelerate the timeline for roster changes:

Possibly not the same 100T roster that participated during the VCT Americas season will travel to Tokyo for Red Bull Home Ground. Many people assumed that roster changes may occur after a substantial management transition after general manager Daniel “ddk” Kapadia and the company parted ways at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

When ddk first joined, a huge management move from earlier in the year had caused a significant roster revamp. Back in March 2022, Nadeshot hired ddk and coaches Sean Gares and Mikes to take over and start over after the VCT season that year got off to a shaky start. The risk paid off as the club had a sensational run in the 2022 NA LCQ to advance to Champions and then secure a partnered slot in the 2023 VCT and sign dueling superstar Cryocells.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Nadeshot decide to start over again given how well a rebuild went for 100T the previous time around. According to reports, 100T wants to cut back on player compensation for the upcoming season, which may easily coincide with squad changes.

Red Bull Home Ground is another tournament that 100T has won in the past, however, despite the fact that the event was staged on a patch that didn’t accurately represent the big approaching meta shift away from Chamber, expectations for the team grew as a result of last year’s overwhelming performance. Not only did 100T introduce a new squad at Red Bull Home Ground, but so did Cloud9, Team Heretics, and Vitality (Liquid would have as well but for visa complications).

However, the 2022 event was special because it took place before the partnership era officially began. The playoffs for the Masters, Champions, or even their own region were missed by some of the aforementioned teams last year. Since this may be the only opportunity for tier-one teams to compete before the commencement of VCT 2024, these teams have a solid reason to make adjustments now.
