Even though the official launch of VALORANT’s Patch 7.03 is still a few days away, a test version that went live on the PBE servers on August 4 gave players a sneak preview of the patch’s final patch notes. The rest of the patch seems to be pretty basic, only bringing us a few feedback-focused changes, except an intriguing mention of an upgrade to the “rendering system.”

Ends at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023. To increase the current user-friendliness of the purchase system, the current PBE will concentrate on Store updates. Additionally, it will evaluate fixes for bugs that affect player settings, agent portraits, the Esports Hub in Patch 7.02, and other things. The early VALORANT 7.03 patch notes are provided below:

Here are the full PBE notes containing all the changes you can expect in the upcoming 7.03 patch.

Beginning with Patch 7.03, you can add cosmetics to your favorites directly from the transaction or confirmation screen. To favorite a weapon skin or accessory item that you own (such as Gun Buddies and Sprays), you previously had to go to your Inventory and look for it. This change is meant to save you some trouble.

A similar change also makes it slightly simpler to locate a Spray that has just been acquired. After installing patch 7.03, you can go directly from the purchase/confirmation screen to the Spray you just bought or unlocked in the Collections tab.

Riot didn’t go into great detail about this specific feature, but the upcoming patch will restructure the rendering system of VALORANT to make it easier to maintain in the future. Although it might just be an internal update for the developers’ needs, an update to the game’s rendering system may enhance visuals and performance for the players’ side and decrease visual anomalies (bugs). In either case, once the official patch notes are released, more information will be available.

All bug fixes included in VALORANT PBE Patch 7.03

Although they are the ones currently being tested, these fixes may not be the only ones included in Patch 7.03. More fixes might be included in the last update by the designers.

  • Fixed a bug where a white line appeared on Player Portraits when an Ultimate was used.
  • Fixed an issue where a shield’s number value appears red in the shop upon damage and then when buying it back again.
  • Fixed a font issue where Greek Tonos was not rendering for Account Names.
  • Fixed a bug where VOIP Ducks Flavor VO (a setting that, when turned on, makes in-game sounds slightly lower to prioritize party/team comms) was not functioning as intended.
  • Fixed a bug in the Esports Hub that was causing the Schedule to show incorrect Time/Days due to UTC time conversion.

Targeting some of the game’s most frequently reported bugs, Riot has added five bug fixes to the current PBE. A time conversion error, for instance, resulted in the Esports Hub showing incorrect schedules for some players. This and a well-known problem affecting the shield’s number value in the Buy Menu will both be fixed by the upcoming patch. After the release of Patch 7.03 for VALORANT, we’ll update the article with its complete notes.
