Spy x Family, Jujutsu Kaisen, and others make it to NYT’s April Bestseller list

Five manga volumes have made it to The New York Times’ monthly Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list.

Five manga volumes have made it to The New York Times’ monthly Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list. The list was released in early April. The manga on April’s list features:

  • #3: Tatsuya Endō’s SPY x FAMILY volume 9
  • #6: Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen volume 19
  • #9: Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia volume 33
  • #12: Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man volume 1
  • #15: Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba volume 1

Bestseller manga in the month of March

The 33rd volume of Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia managed to grab the #3 spot on the list in March. That month, the first volume of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man was at #6 spot, while the first volume of Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ranked at #9. At #12 spot was the seventh volume of Shinchi Fukuda’s My Dress-Up Darling, and at #14 was the first volume of Tatsuya Endo’s SPY x FAMILY.

The New York Times posted its first updated Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list in October 2019, and it is a category of the newspaper’s ongoing bestseller lists.

Eden Zero anime season 2 coming to Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream the second season of the TV anime of Hiro Mashima’s Edens manga. The anime will stream in North America, South America, Central America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and India.

The second season of Edens Zero premiered on April 1 on NTV and its affiliates. The new cast members for the season include:

  • Taku Yashiro as Laguna
  • Rumi Okubo as Sylph
  • Toshiki Masuda as Fie
  • Atsushi Imaruoka as Daichi

Takanori Nishikawa performs the second season’s opening theme song “Never say Never.” ASCA has performed the ending theme song “Rinne.” France’s Mediatoon Distribution acquired the worldwide distribution rights for the second season.

The first season came out in Japan in April 2021, and aired for 25 episodes. The show began streaming on Netflix outside of Japan in August 2021. Shinji Ishihara was the chief director of the first season at J.C. Staff, and Yushi Suzuki directed the season.
