Hiroyuki Sawano, the composer for Attack on Titan and Blue Exorcist, will be composing for the anime.

Set in a world where powerful human beings known as Hunters protect humankind from monsters, Solo Leveling follows the story of Sung Jinwoo, who is known as the weakest Hunter alive and constantly injures himself. During a Double Dungeon raid, he is abandoned by the rest of the Hunters in his party and is on the brink of death. However, he gets the opportunity of a lifetime: become a Player in the System and level up, without any limitations, to become the strongest Hunter in the world.

Dubu’s Legacy in Solo Leveling

Tragically, Dubu, the artist behind the webcomic’s illustrations, died in July 2022 due to a brain haemorrhage. However, his legacy still lives on in Solo Leveling even after his death. REDICE Studio revealed that side stories for Solo Leveling will be released in January 2023. Those who worked with Dubu, known affectionately as “disciples,” will illustrate and publish the stories, dedicating them to the late artist.
