Shiva Nandy, the founder and CEO of Skyesports, recently made a hint about the possibility of a Skyesports League with a huge prize fund of 3 Crore Indian Rupees following the possible return of Krafton’s currently suspended game Battlegrounds Mobile India. (BGMI). The relaunch of Skyesports League following the possible return of BGMI indicates that the game will have a sizable presence in the league, even though the hint did not specifically state that it would be solely for BGMI. Other Skyesports competitions, such as the Skyesports CS: GO League, will resume in the near future, according to Nandy.

Following BGMI’s possible return, Skyesports will hold a 3 Crore prize pool

Nandy recently took to Instagram to ask followers about the events they would like to see resume after the potential return of BGMI. Alongside the post, Nandy expressed his own desire for the Skyesports League to return at Thyagaraj Stadium in Delhi with a prize pool of at least 3 crores.

Although Nandy did not explicitly mention that Skyesports League would be a BGMI-only event, the fact that its relaunch is being considered after the potential comeback of BGMI suggests that the game would play a significant role in the tournament. With Nandy’s post generating buzz among fans, it remains to be seen whether Skyesports League will indeed make a comeback and whether BGMI will be a key feature of the tournament.

Nandy revealed on Instagram that Skyesports League, Skyesports Award Ceremony, Skyesports Championship 5.0, and Skyesports Skirmish Series would make a comeback. However, he stressed that Skyesports would prioritize the Skyesports CS: GO League until then.

The Skyesports League is the subject of Spero’s opinions

During a recent livestream, Piyush “Spero” Bathla shared his thoughts on Nandy’s Instagram Story about the potential return of the Skyesports League with a 3 Crore prize pool. Spero expressed his excitement about the possibility of such an event and refuted claims that there is no hype for BGMI. “A tournament with a 3 Crore prize pool is already lined up, and you say there is no hype for the game. Those who say there is no hype, here is the hype,” he said.

However, Spero also suggested that the tournament might feature other games besides BGMI. He cautioned viewers to be careful about assuming that the event would only have BGMI. “The event might also feature other games, it’s not like it will only have BGMI. So be careful about that. But, of course, a LAN event filled with an audience is something that you don’t want to miss,” he said.

While Spero expressed his enthusiasm for the event, he also acknowledged that it would only be possible if BGMI made a comeback. The fate of the tournament remains unclear, but fans of the Skyesports League and esports enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting any updates on its potential return.

BGMI was suspended by the Indian government in July 2022 due to national security and privacy concerns, and there has been no official announcement regarding the game’s return since then. Recently, Krafton issued a warning to third-party tournament organizers to stop hosting BGMI tournaments, though the reason behind this decision remains unknown. It remains to be seen when and if BGMI will be able to make a comeback in India.
