The release date for season 2 of the Shadows House anime series has been officially confirmed and the theme and basic plot has been announced, as well. However, few viewers expected Shadows House to become one of the most intriguing series on the entire schedule, teasing fans with fabulously intriguing characters and a mysterious plotline. The release window for Shadows House season 2 was finally confirmed in a brand new teaser trailer at the AnimeJapan 2022 event; now, the specific launch date has been revealed.
CloverWorks animation studio officially renewed Shadows House for season 2 on September 11th, 2021. The announcement was made during a special live-streamed event in Japan, prior to the release of a teaser video for the sequel season on the franchise’s Japanese website. While the news of a second season was widely welcomed, it was not entirely unexpected. Anime renewals are typically determined by two factors: source material and popularity, both of which Shadows House possesses in abundance.
According to Anime Geek, up until volume 4 chapter 47 of the original manga series, season 1 episode 12 was adapted. The good news is that ten complete manga volumes with 132 chapters have been published in Japan as of this writing.

Shadows House season 2 was officially confirmed in a press release via Anime News Network on January 5th, 2022, that it would officially launch in July 2022, as part of the Summer broadcasting slate. The official Japanese Twitter page for the anime confirmed this week that season 2 episode 1 would debut on July 8th, 2022 – though with a midnight premiere, this technically means a July 9th debut.
At the AnimeJapan 2022 event, the series released a trailer and the it was slyly captioned “There is still a ‘secret’ in this building.”
Fans should be aware that Crunchyroll has yet to confirm whether or not they will be simulcasting Season 2 of Shadows House. However, following its merger with Funimation earlier this year, the streaming platform is expected to broadcast the new season.
