Professional Overwatch Today, Luka “Aspire” Rolovic was charged with grooming a 16-year-old girl while he was playing for the Vancouver Titans in the OWL in 2022. The girl in question, who has chosen to remain anonymous, published the accusations on Monday, June 26 in a 700-word essay that she shared on Twitter that same day with the handle @ExposingAspire.
“at the time I was 16 years old, and he was 20. our initial conversations and interactions were thru Snapchat. after a few weeks they turned much more sexual with both of us exchanging pictures before I ever turned 17. by march 16 he had told me he loved me for the first time and our interactions moved from Snapchat to Discord.” by @ExposingAspire.
‘ExposingAspire’ alleges in the document that Aspire was manipulative throughout the stages of their eleven-month-long relationship, which turned sexual just weeks after initial conversations commenced on Snapchat and then continued via Discord messaging. She claims Aspire became “paranoid that people would accuse him of being a pedophile,” was increasingly controlling of her actions, and would dictate who she could communicate with.

She was “hesitant to go public” with the accusations, according to ‘ExposingAspire,’ as she was concerned about the criticism she might receive. She also admitted that she didn’t anticipate ever getting Aspire’s side of the story resolved.
Nearly 40 screenshots of private Discord messages are included in the document, along with several images showing the couple last year. In the three pictures of them together, “ExposingAspire” has covered her face with emojis. Following the June 26 document upload, Overwatch streamer Aspen made her accusations, claiming the Titans were aware of the relationship between Aspire and the anonymous girl “for 6+ [sic] months.”
When contacted for comment, the Vancouver Titans declined to respond before this article was published. July 26 update, 9:30 p.m.The U.S. Overwatch World Cup team’s governing body announced that Aspire has been suspended with immediate effect “in light of recent allegations.”

Before publication, a comment request was made to the Vancouver Titans, who did not respond. July 26, 9:30 p.m. CT, update: According to a statement from the team’s governing body, Aspire has been suspended from the U.S. Overwatch World Cup team with immediate effect “in light of recent allegations.”
