Ryû Nakayama, director and lead animator of the popular anime series Chainsaw Man, officially acknowledged on July 27 via Twitter that he was a key contributor to the creation of the animated promotional video for Pokémon Worlds 2023. An animated promotional video featuring work from numerous studios, including CoMix Wave Films and Your Name, was released before the Pokémon World Championship 2023.

At Pokémon Worlds, four games are on display: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Pokémon Go, Pokémon UNITE, and TCG. The competition is being held in Yokohama, Japan, where the city is also hosting several other Pokémon-related events and activities. The 2023 Pokémon World Championship will be broadcast live on Twitch from August 11 to August 13.
