After a lot of anticipation of what the future of Team India could be like in PMWI 2022 after the temporary ban of BGMI in the country. The winner of each region will automatically receive an invitation. An invitation to PMWI 2022 has been announced for Team SouL from India. The Esports roadmap, which was further explained by James Yang, Director of PUBG MOBILE Global Esports, put a stop to the rumours and provided confirmation as each region’s team was unveiled. In a recently uploaded video by PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022, Indian region was also present, which indicates that the team will be travelling to Riyadh for the first round of the PMWI.

As it was rumoured earlier, another team would not be accompanying Team SouL in the round 1 of the World Invitationals, and SouL will be the only team bearing the India flag. The format of PMWI is as follows. It will be a two weeks long event with the first week starting from August 11 and ending on August 13. The first-week winner will receive a massive $2 million prize pool, and the top five teams will advance to the second week to compete for $1 million alongside other invited teams.
The PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 will be a LAN event held in Saudi Arabia. The PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022 tournament is sponsored by Sony Xperia, the game’s official smartphone partner. It will be the first PUBG MOBILE official LAN event since the Covid pandemic. People who are interested to watch the live stream will be able to watch it on PUBG Mobile Esports’ YouTube Channel.
