Concrete Utopia is a thriller film directed by Um Tae-Hwa that focuses on the story of the aftermath of a destroying earthquake. The film will start when the survivors come at Hwang Goong Apartments, the only building which didn’t got affected and is still standing after a destroying earthquake in the heart of Seoul. Park Seo-Joon to appear in a thriller film ‘Concrete Utopia’.
Alongside Park Seo-Joon, the film’s star cast has Park Bo-Young, Lee Byung-Hun, Kim Sun Young, Park Ji Hoo, and Kim Do Yoon.
In a press conference which happened on June 21 for the forthcoming movie, Park Seo-Joon showed his appreciation for his co-star Lee Byung-Hun. When a reporter asked if Lee Byung-Hun is the 80 percent reason why he wished to be part of the film, the Itaewon Class star jokingly said “Because the director is here, I think he deserves 60 percent of the credit.”

Lottie Entertainment, the distributor of the film disclosed pictures of Concrete Utopia dusplaying the characters and their particular survival strategies. One of the crucial characters ‘Min Seong’ played by Park Seo-Joon displays passion and dedication to protect his family while carefully considering the situations around him.
This riveting catastrophe movie expresses a interesting story of survival after a mosrable incident, creating the stage for an tough journey.
Star Lee Byung-hun said at the same press conference that the movie displays how the survivors connects with each other to defeat all the challenges hence it can be considered as a human story or a dark comedy. The forthcoming film gives a fresh adaptation despite of the post-disaster setting the characters to fight for their existence offering the viewers a glimpse into the unfolding story.
Concrete Utopia is slightly inspired on the second part of the hit webtoon about an earthquake and its aftermath Joyful Outcast (Pleasant Neighbors),which shows the unfavorable circumtances for life in a quake-devastated Seoul.
With its great idea and peoperly made narration, the movie separates itself from other disaster movies and ensures to give a significant viewing experience.

Concrete Utopia is planned for a theatrical launch on Aug. 9, 2023 with presales having been done in 152 countries which has Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines.
