In the first part of Overwatch, some minor modifications to the maps were utilized to give leaks that a latest Hero was coming in the game. When Doomfist was being hinted, we saw Orisa units slapped into the wall. After that, we could hear Junker Queen’s voice in Junkertown long before she was included to the roster. And now, the freshly re-launched Numbani might be giving leaks at the upcoming map or Hero. Overwatch 2 New Concept Might Be Set in Poland.

Overwatch 2 is developed by Blizzard Entertainment and its a 2022 first-person shooter game. As a second part and it was a replacement to the 2016 hero shooter Overwatch, the game aims at a shared environment for player-versus-player (PvP) modes while launching constant cooperative modes. A big modification in PvP modes was to lessen team sizes from six to five. Various major characters were also worked again. Overwatch 2 is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S and it is a free-to-play game.

In an interview with Polish news outlet Blizzplanet, art director Dion Rogers was questioned about a small detail observed in one of Numbani’s spawn rooms. Ever since its Overwatch 2 launch, one of the airport’s travel destinations is Gdańsk, a city in Poland. When questioned if this information has any importance, Rogers ensured that this was done deliberately, giving leaks that this could be the upcoming map arriving to Overwatch 2.

“Every part of that game world is handcrafted,” said by Rogers, when questioned about Gdańsk’s inclusion in Numbani. “So whenever we write something [it’s] used with intent.”

Rogers proceeds, further saying that the upcoming Overwatch map will be based on the Polish city. “On those screens, we sometimes hint at things for the future. So we might put, I think, when we were developing Overwatch, at first, we had places like Ilios on there, and eventually we created Ilios.”

This clearly says that the makers are thinking about doing something with Poland, whatever that is. The game makes small to no citation to the country otherwise, so it stands to the excuse that this namedrop in Numbani will amount to something.

As for what type of map it can be, I’m getting on to go out on a limb and say Push. Blizzard has lastly said that it needs to keep all game mode map pools equivalent, and right now. Push only has 3. It is, nonetheless, a very divisive mode, so a fresh map could deal with some of the complaints from fans.
