Overwatch 2 is a game filled with cosmetics. Players get a lot of options to customize their favorite heroes, using a variety of skins, emotes, and victory screens. A new type of cosmetic, souvenirs, let players express themselves using the new 3D items. Similar to other cosmetics, these souvenirs don’t provide players with any competitive advantage, and are similar to emotes.

In this article, we will discuss different ways players can get souvenirs in Overwatch 2 and how can they equip them.

How to get souvenirs?

With the arrival of a new kind of cosmetic item in Overwatch 2, souvenirs are almost exclusive to the seasonal battle pass. However, similar to how Blizzard is rewarding players with cosmetics depending on Kiriko for the hours of streaming on Twitch they are watching, players can collect souvenirs during promotions in the coming days. Getting souvenirs this way has yet to be confirmed, so players are completely dependent on those they can earn via the tracks of the battle pass.

Some souvenirs will also be available for direct purchase through the hero information pages. However, players can them only by using Legacy Credits, which will be transferred over from original Overwatch accounts. As of now, it is unclear whether the souvenirs will be available for purchase in other currencies in the coming days.

How to equip souvenirs?

Players can equip all cosmetics, including souvenirs, through an individual hero’s information screen they can access through the main menu. No restrictions are applied to what souvenirs players can equip for certain heroes, but they can equip only one souvenir at a time.

Players can equip souvenirs like emotes and use them in-game. They will not get any bonuses outside of showboating to their opponents.
