The declaration of Overwatch 2 and One-Punch Man collaboration has directed you to several gamers requesting Blizzard to contemplate other potential partnerships. The declaration of a One-Punch Man Saitama skin for Doomfist has smashed the damn on licensed crossovers in Overwatch 2. While some gamers fear Overwatch 2 could soon begin to seem like Fortnite, others are eager about what other anime and manga characters could be coming. This previous week, Blizzard officially declared its first licensed crossover with the famous anime and manga, One-Punch Man. While the full extent of the crossover has yet to be ensured, two collab skins have been declared so far. The first is a Saitama skin for Doomfist, and the next one is a Mumen Rider skin for Soldier: 76. The event will be there until March 7 and will end on April 6, and more information, counting other cosmetics, will possibly be officially disclosed in the weeks to arrive.

Now that Overwatch 2 gamers know licensed skins could be arriving at the game going ahead, they’re providing their ideas. Numerous posts on Reddit, along with other social media platforms, are providing assumptions for the upcoming Overwatch 2 crossovers. One Overwatch 2 player stated Edward and Alphonse Elric skins from Full Metal Alchemist for Ashe and Bob. Another gamer gave an idea about All Might from My Hero Academia skin for Reinhardt. Yet one more idea was for an Attack on Titan’s Beast Titan skin for Winston.

While Blizzard hasn’t given an idea that further crossovers are arriving later in 2023 or more than that, there are some official hints for coming anime crossovers for Overwatch 2. A 2022 interview with Overwatch 2 VP Jon Spector saw the maker state that they’re a huge fan of games working with other brands and that he is like a huge anime nerd. One-Punch Man can potentially be the first of various anime and manga crossovers.

Not everyone acknowledges that licensed crossovers are the best direction for Overwatch 2 to go, though. Various gamers complain that Overwatch has always been a franchise that’s taken itself seriously and that crossovers such as the One-Punch Man partnership just cheapen Overwatch’s authenticity. They wish that Blizzard continue to focus on original stories and cosmetics.

Fortnite has always been high on crossovers and gamers have disclosed that they want more in the future. Overwatch 2 gamers will be enamored.
