Recap of Ousama Ranking Episode 20

Ousama Ranking Episode 20, “Immortal vs. Invincible,” began with Miranjo confronting her mother, who is standing on the other side of the river with the first Queen of Bosse. This took place in the land between life and death, with Bojji present and attempting, but failing, to call out to his mother.

Bojji’s mother criticises Miranjo, but reveals her philosophy of the sin being at fault results in her holding no grudge. She then addresses her directly, claiming that her son will defeat her and revealing that Miranjo can no longer die and thus cross over.

She served the red-skinned person, a demon and her childhood companion, it is revealed. She essentially betrayed him twice, but he now holds her soul hostage, with the power to deny her an afterlife if he so desires.

Miranjo’s mother then tells her to change her ways, prompting her to lash out with magic, returning everyone to the land of the living. In the process, she realises Bosse’s use of others for personal gain has caused her apathy, and she breaks down.

Despa then tells Bojji about Miranjo’s past, telling him to make his own decision. However, the tears he sheds indicate his decision not to kill her, which he has most likely already reconciled within himself.

Meanwhile, Daida considers Miranjo’s memories of attempting to use him to resurrect Bosse. He now realises that the person he helped is the one who doomed him, and he is visibly moved by this realisation because he has always wanted to know who his “mirror” was.

The episode then returns to the Big Four vs. Ouken, where the latter’s body parts have been separated. Meanwhile, Despa, Bojji, and Kage are on the verge of dying from blood loss, with no one to help them.

Despite being severely injured, Bojji fights on, albeit with limited success. Bosse, on the other hand, enters the battlefield and hits his son with his club before berating his men for losing and healing them with Daida’s inherited magic. Bosse then confronts Ouken, who initially struggles with his immortality.

Suddenly, an idea strikes him, and he uproots a boulder before crushing Ouken into a small ball. He then inserts this Ouken-ball into a hole in the boulder, quickly filling it with similar-sized rocks in order to trap Ouken. His agonising cries irritate Despa, who is reminded of his firm belief that Bosse cannot be trusted.

Ousama Ranking Episode 21 Raw Scans

According to the preview for Ousama Ranking Episode 21, it appears that the majority, if not the entire, next episode will build towards Bojji versus Bosse. The preview begins with Bosse, disguised as Daida, walking past Bojji on his way to the mirror.

He then arrives at the mirror where Miranjo is trapped, with glimpses of the real Daida in the preview. At this point, Bosse and Miranjo appear to be conversing as he kneels in front of the mirror and says something. Bosse then swings his club across the courtyard at Bojji, creating a massive breeze in the process.

In between these shots, the preview shows other characters such as Kage, Despa, and Hiling, but there isn’t enough context to establish anything for them. The preview concludes with Bojji sharpening his sword, presumably in preparation for a fight with Bosse.

The title of Ousama Ranking Episode 21, “The King’s Sword,” would appear to indicate that Bojji is recognised or symbolised as a future king in this episode. After all, he is the only character in the preview who wields a sword, and he wields it against Bosse, no less.
