About the Anime

Behind the façade of lovely animation and the idea of the glittering entertainment industry, Oshi no Ko is quite sinister and twisted. This anime is in the drama and supernatural genres and is targeted at the seinin audience. Since the anime is intended for an older audience, we can assume that it will contain mature themes. The first season of Oshi no Ko will consist of 11 episodes in total.

The protagonist of Oshi no Ko is Ai Hoshino, a rising idol and member of the girl group B-Komachi. The most adored member of the group is Ai, whose radiant smile and sweet demeanor have won over her followers’ hearts. Ai is merely living a lie with a fake smile behind closed doors. Ai gets pregnant with twins but keeps the father’s identity a secret from her manager and the CEO of her talent agency.

Gorou is attacked and killed by a jealous fan on the day of the birth, and when he awakens, he is Ai’s baby boy. Ai decides to hide the twins’ existence from the public and gives them the names Aqua and Ruby. Ruby, like Aqua, was an admirer of Ai who was reborn as Ai’s child. The darkness that envelops everybody involved in show business is slowly revealed to them both.
