One Piece Chapter 1048 confirms that the former Shogun of the closed country of Wano may still be alive after Denjiro severed one of his heads while the usurper is still transformed. According to the most recent raw scans made available online by industry insiders, the upcoming manga instalment will reveal that Denjiro, one of the Akazaya Nine, severed the transformed Orochi’s main head. While many people believe that Orochi has died, raw scans suggest that this is not the case. According to one of the panels, the samurai only cut one of the shogun’s seven heads. In Chapter 985, Kaidou did the exact same thing on the Live Stage when he announced that his son, Yamato, would succeed Orochi as Shogun of Wano Kuni. But then, in Chapter 1008, Orochi reappeared. He was alive, enraged, and on a mission to burn down the entire city of Onigashima. Kinemon and the other members of the Akazaya Nine met him again several chapters later, and this time they decapitated his head. But it didn’t stop there. Because the shogun reappeared chapters later, it appears that Eiichiro Oda, the legendary mangaka who created “One Piece,” was not finished with Orochi at the time. He met Komurasaki and discovered she was Kosuke Hyori, the only daughter of the man he had betrayed and murdered.
It is unknown how Orochi will be killed, but according to one of the community’s theories, all seven of his heads should be severed at the same time.
The raw scans also revealed that Luffy asked Momo to relocate Onigashima away from the Flower Capital so that whatever happens to the floating island does not affect the people celebrating the Fire Festival. Meanwhile, Kaidou and Luffy are still fighting on the Skull Dome’s roof with more powerful attacks.
According to the raw scans, some parts of the upcoming manga show Kawamatsu remembering what happened in Wano over the last few decades. With Big Mom defeated, Tobi Roppo decimated, and other powerful Beast Pirate operatives knocked out, Luffy’s victory determines the fate of the entire Wano.
