NAVI stands out among all the teams competing in the three franchised VALORANT leagues in 2023 for attempting to use Yoru, one of the VCT’s boldest selections. Although NAVI is bringing it to EMEA, this agent is well known for his connections to special comps from Pacific teams. Fans of the core of NAVI are not surprised by this because the group was well-known for selecting and composing songs inanely under the FunPlus Phoenix label.

Mehmet “cNed” Pek, NAVI’s star addition, played Yoru in both maps as they defeated Team Liquid 2-0 on May 5. If you need more information about One of VALORANT’s worst agents is crucial to NAVI’s VCT success, then read carefully, and don’t forget to share with your friends.

One of VALORANT’s worst agents is crucial to NAVI’s VCT success:

Fans from all over the world were curious about how cNed would work with the former FPX core as the 2023 season approached. NAVI is currently 6-1, and cNed is succeeding with the most unlikely of agents. Yoru is also more than just a one-time meme choice; the team frequently uses him for Fracture and Bind. It’s surprising, to say the least considering that cNed had never played Yoru in the VCT circuit before joining NAVI.

Itthirit “foxz” Ngamsaard of Talon Esports and Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto of Paper Rex are two other well-known Yoru players, but cNed has distinguished himself as a different kind of Yoru player. Whereas many players use Yoru’s kit to deceive their opponents and travel far, cNed uses him to support what he does best—get Operator kills.

Since Jett’s dashes and smokes make it simple to retreat or engage, this approach is very different from using the Operator on her. With teleports, flashes, and a fake clone to surprise and deceive adversaries, Yoru is more complex. However, cned is succeeding, taking Yoru on all four of the maps so far.

Some of his most important plays involve teleportations, which he typically employs aggressively to enter a scene when he has a Vandal or Phantom. But with the Operator, he makes noise, entices opponents to look away from his angle, and then shoots them easily. In addition, he sets up teleport as his means of escape, typically positioning it close to his spawn or another location where he can TP safely and obtain a different Operator perspective.

When he played Yoru, CNed wasn’t the only factor in the team’s success, but beating the agent is no easy task. Apart from Fnatic, Liquid has looked much better than its performance at LOCK/IN among NAVI’s rivals. It was a brave move for cNed to play Yoru twice against a strong opponent, and even though his Yoru performances against Team Vitality and BBL Esports were statistically better, he still had some great moments in the series against Liquid.
