NEW TROOP in Clash of Clans Winter Update | ICE HOUND Super Troop

Super troops ability use in attack strategy in town hall 12

Super Wizard

The Super Wizard is a Super Troop based on the Wizard. The Super Wizard attacks with mixed fire-lightning attacks that can chain to multiple targets. Unlike the Electro Dragon’s chain lightning, the Super Wizard’s chains branch from the primary target. This chain can hit up to nine other targets that are close enough to the primary target, so the overall attack can hit up to a total of ten targets in this Winter Update.

Because of the level requirement, players require Town Hall 12 in order to boost Wizards into Super Wizards. However, because of the Laboratory level cap, players require a level 6 Clan Castle or greater in order to get donated one, allowing anyone Town Hall 10 or above to get one.

The Super Wizard can do a lot of damage. Make sure it is completely tanked and there are many buildings to chain to  be a useful force. Super Wizards are very similar to  Electro Dragons in  that they can connect lightning bolts. However, you need to be supported by tanks  to get into the core of the base.  The Super Wizard can attack up to 10 targets at once, making it a good way to eliminate many defensive forces such as headhunters and super minions.

Ice Hound

The Ice Hound is similar to a Lava Hound, except with higher hitpoints, an ability to chill targets that it hits and having less pups compared to the lava hound, which slows afflicted targets down just like the Ice Wizard and Ice Golem. Upon death, it freezes the surrounding area like an Ice Golem, and releases several Ice Pups. The Ice Hound also does a little less damage than the Lava Hound in this Winter Update.

Because of the level requirement, players require Town Hall 12 in order to boost Lava Hounds into Ice Hounds. However, players require a level 8 Clan Castle or greater in order to get donated one, meaning that they likely already have the troop unlocked or can do so at the same Town Hall level.

Ice Hounds prioritize Air Defenses above all other targets, and will bypass all other enemy buildings and troops while any Air Defenses remain on the battlefield. This is true even if they are under attack by enemy Clan Castle troops, heroes or Skeleton Trap skeletons. Once all Air Defenses are destroyed, they will continue to attack any other remaining defenses. Note that like all troops that prioritize defenses, Ice Hounds do not consider the Clan Castle to be a defense regardless of whether or not it contains enemy troops, but do consider the defending Grand Warden and the activated Town Hall weapon (if any) to be defensive buildings.

Once all remaining defenses are destroyed, Ice Hounds become like any other troop with no preferred target; they will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type, and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby.

Making sure the Ice Hound explodes into pups is crucial, because otherwise its Freeze ability will be next to useless. Ice Hounds can be used very similarly to Lava Hounds in LavaLoon attacks. They can shield for the Balloons and also destroy enemy Heroes with their Ice Pups once popped.

Each Ice Hound is worth 1/7th of a max army, so use each one wisely or else it will be a waste. Like the Ice Golem, an Ice Hound can stop a single-target Inferno Tower from harming powerful troops.
