Fans immediately assumed they were getting some kind of update on the long-rumored Project L, a League-based fighting game that Riot first teased nearly four years ago. Riot Games today released a new League of Legends teaser trailer, leading fans to believe they were getting that. The teaser video appears to be for a different set of in-game skins, a fictional event, and the much-teased two-vs-two-vs-two-vs-two deathmatch mode that has been in the works for a while.

The tournament, which is hosted by the occult being known as God’s Eye, draws notable individuals from all over Runeterra to a showdown in the middle of the arena. The 19th featured game mode will be made available to League’s clients during the event. In League, TFT, and Wild Rift, players will be able to play in Arena, Soul Brawl, and Tag Duel, whereas Legends of Runeterra players will have the chance to acquire a new event pass and new cosmetics for their decks.
