The fandom is waiting patiently for My Dress-Up Darling Season 2. Featuring charming characters, breathtaking animation, and a positive examination of their common interest in cosplay, the touching story of Wakana Gojo—a skilled hina doll craftsman—and Marin Kitagawa—a stylish high school student—enthralled viewers.
For now, My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 release date remains a mystery. Aniplex revealed on September 17, 2022, that production is underway on the second episode of the series, which would be released once finished. The official My Dress-Up Darling website made the announcement.
So far, neither the studio nor the anime’s official website has revealed when the show will premiere. Fans, though, are speculating that the series’ release will occur somewhere in the summer or midway through this year.
Season 2’s official first teaser debuted on September 17, 2022, although the premiere date was mysteriously absent from their official YouTube account. Critically acclaimed and beloved by fans all around the globe, CloverWorks’ anime adaptation was a smashing success. The manga series by Shinichi Fukuda, which is still going strong, also has enough of material for new seasons.
Gojo and Marin became closer as a team in the first season as they overcame numerous obstacles. At the end of Season 1, Marin admitted her feelings for Gojo via video chat while he was sleeping.

As a high school student, Wakana Gojou aspires to one day become as skilled as his grandfather at making hina dolls. Amidst his peer group’s obsession with pop culture, Gojou takes great joy in crafting garments for his little dolls. But he’s quite secretive about his unusual pastime since he thinks people would make fun of him if they found out.
Marin Kitagawa steps in, a stunningly beautiful girl whose self-assurance and grace stand in sharp contrast to Gojou’s timidity. Given that Kitagawa is constantly in the company of her peers, it would be foolish for the lonely Gojou to associate with someone like her. But then the unthinkable happens: Kitagawa learns that Gojou is quite talented with a sewing machine, and she cheerfully admits to him that cosplay is her pastime. Her sewing skills are so bad that she decides to ask him for assistance.
Gojou and Kitagawa become closer as they collaborate on cosplay outfits, despite the vast distance between their lifestyles.
