MONSTA X member Kihyun made a heartfelt and touching declaration to his fans related to his forthcoming military enlistment via a handwritten letter posted on the online fan cafe. While the news arrived as a shock, Kihyun wanted to reassure Monbebe, the dedicated MONSTA X fandom, in his own different way, looking for their understanding and support in this crucial time of his life. In the letter, Kihyun started by warmly greeting his fandom and talking about his concern about declaring the news. Despite probably stating it prior, he accepted the inevitability of his enlistment, Knowing that Monbebe might have already predicted this moment. Before making any delay, Kihyun declared that he would start his military service on August 22, understanding that his fans would definitely worry about him. However, he took comfort in the news that he would be taking his duties with the love and encouragement of his devoted supporters.

Based on the journey of his fellow group members who have already enlisted, Kihyun playfully talked to his fans not to forget about them in their absence. He nicely insist Monbebe to take care of themselves, stay healthy, and said a line “You can do this” to increase their spirits while he is enlisted. With talking with reassurance, Kihyun promised that hw will make a come back and reunion with his group members.
“I’m just grateful that there are so many people who support me haha. I will work hard to make precious time through various ways before I go. In addition to me, the members will be away for a while, but you can’t go anywhere. I’m not kidding—I’m serious. Eat well! Stay healthy! Stay strong! Keep doing well, and I’ll be right back. After I return, I’m going to say, “I love you, MONBEBE,” with the members haha. I will end here! I love you, and bye bye!”, he stated in the letter.

The heartfelt letter nicely showcased Kihyun’s deep love for his fans as he bid them farewell to his group and fans all over the world.
As one of the six members of MONSTA X, who made his debut in 2015, Kihyun doing exactly the same as per his fellow members, Shownu, Minhyuk, and Joohoney, who have already started their military service. He is the fourth member of MONSTA X to enter in the military. Shownu successfully finished his service in April, while Minhyuk and Joohoney currently completed their military duties as active soldiers in the initial time of this year.
