Mangrove Trees

Minecraft has added a new, large and very beautiful tree, the mangrove, to the game. They have tendrils hanging from the leaves like the trees of today’s swamps, and also grow large arched roots that you can walk and swim in. One of the coolest things about mangroves is that they can be planted on land or in the water. As they grow, they have a twisted root block base under the trunk of their main mangrove. Yes, yes, mangroves also have their own tree species.

Mud Blocks

You’ll also notice that the ground in the mangrove swamp biome isn’t made up of dirt blocks. It’s actually covered in mud. You can create new Mud Blocks by dumping a water bottle on dirt. You can also put mud blocks on top of the new dripstone from the Dripstone Cave biome, which will dry out your mud block and turn it into clay. A renewable source of clay—neat! Now you’ll be able to farm your own instead of going diving in every single water source you stumble across.

Frogs and tadpoles

Don’t jump off the mangrove swamp yet! You need to stop first and meet a new frog mob. Unlike other mobs with babies that look like small adults, frogs have real tadpoles. You can also carry it in a bucket like an axolotl. This is useful for bringing small companions to your new home. There are three types of frogs: swamps, snow, and tropics. When they are fully grown, they grow into adult frogs based on the biome in which they are.

I also learned that frogs tend to eat both small slime and magma cubes, producing slime balls and new frog light items, respectively. The frog light is provided in a color that matches the frog that created it and acts as a decoration that gives a light similar to glow stones or sea lanterns. Slime balls have already been used to create leads and sticky pistons. Tadpoles also attracted attention. Axolotl can eat tadpoles, but frogs do not have a specific predator if they survive so far.
