The Riot Games creators are looking to incorporate a few more junglers into Season 13’s meta before MSI 2023 starts on May 2, but they don’t want to overdo it. According to Riot’s patch schedule, the following update of 2023 will be released on Wednesday, April 19. The patch will roll out as usual throughout the day, beginning in Australia at around 10am (AEST). The important patch rollout times for some of the main League servers are listed below:
Once the patch starts, there will be several hours of downtime. All League servers’ matchmaking and competitive queues will be turned off three hours before the update is formally released and made live. The Riot balance team prioritises adding more champions to the meta rather than dragging too many out before MSI 2023 matches start, so this most recent League patch has an uneven distribution of buffs.
Nearly a dozen League champions, including Nidalee, Lillia, Kha’zix, and Poppy, will receive ability, stat, or mechanic upgrades in the upcoming April update. Additionally getting buffs are Leona, Alistair, Ezreal, Janna, Garen, Zoe, and Kog’maw. Only Rakan, Jarvan IV, Malphite, and Aurelion Sol are being nerfed in comparison. Additionally, only one thing—Cosmic Drive—is being modified.
Here are all of the preliminary patch notes for the update of April 19. Keep in mind that until Riot publishes the official notes, any of these improvements, adjustments, or changes are still subject to change for a future League update at any time.
