The release of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in North America this week has only added to the excitement surrounding Yuta and his advancement in the main series. It is safe to assume that Akutami is introducing Yuta as the series’ Tritagonist, alongside Yuji and Megumi.
The official transcription of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 179 will be released on Sunday, March 27, at the following international times, according to the simulrelease notice on Manga Plus:
“Sendai Colony (Part 5)” is the title of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 178. The chapter revealed that the current Rika is the accumulation of Rika Orimoto’s curse energy, which also serves as Yuta’s Cursed Technique.
Yuta is linked to Rika through his ring and can keep her form for five minutes. During this time, he can use his Cursed Technique to completely manifest Rika and tap into her Curse Energy.
Rika is currently seen storing a large number of weapons, from which Yuta selects one. These weapons appear to be physical manifestations of the Cursed Techniques that Yuta has learned from various sorcerers. When Yuta employs Inumaki’s Cursed Speech and Dhruv’s Shikigami technique, Uro deduces the truth.

The Sendai Colony timeline has yet to match the Tokyo No.1 Colony timeline. Kogane may announce the rule that Yuji implemented in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 179. Following that, either Ishigori or Uro can award points to Yuta out of mutual respect or amusement, as Reggie did to Megumi.
Yuta’s Cursed Technique requires more explanation. It’s unclear whether his cursed technique is Rika or a knockoff. Readers also don’t know how far he can copy techniques or what the process’s specifications are.
It’s clear that he can imitate Inherited Techniques like Cursed Speech. However, logic dictates that he should not be able to duplicate the Ten Shadows Technique because the Shikigamis will only obey the true inheritor of the technique. He should also be unable to replicate Six Eyes, which is not entirely a Cursed Technique.
