Since the beginning of the year, Breeze has not been included in the competitive map rotation of VALORANT. However, operators will soon be able to enjoy its sandy beaches once more along with a number of adjustments that will alter team strategies and agent selections in solo queue and pro play.

When attacking (or defending) either of the sites, rushing up middle, or waiting for a sneaky kill while your opponents rotate, there have been numerous adjustments made to important spots across the map, which result in radically different circumstances. All players will need to learn new callouts if they want to play well in ranked play because of these significant changes, which also result in a lot of new angles and situations to be aware of. Mid pillar

The removal of the entire space around the mid-pillar in Breeze is one of Riot Games’ most significant modifications. Players can no longer freely rotate around the pillar; instead, they must ascend a set of boxes to reach a vantage point from which they can see Nest and the top of mid. Defenders just need to guard one side of a potential push through the area because most agents will make noise while descending from the raised platform into mid, even if they must now look at different heights when pushing through mid.

B site

Players now have to contend with a full wall on the long side of B instead of stairs, which would have made it easier for both attackers and defenders to move around the area. Players must climb a series of boxes to get to the other side, making pushing much more dangerous. In addition, there are additional hiding places and new angles that defenders can exploit from the site’s back.

A Hall and Mid Doors

A Hall, which was once an excellent area for players to sneak in for a potential flank on attackers and defenders alike, has seen another significant modification in Breeze. This option is no longer available because of the recent upgrade, which entirely cut off this pathway. The new modifications to the middle pillar have also caused the mid doors to be wider, with a stack of boxes in front to add a little extra protection.

A main and A site

Instead of two roads leading to the A site, A Shop and A Cave have been combined into one location and totally redesigned. Defenders holding A main should only need to be concerned about one relative angle going forward rather than having to scan both pathways for potential adversaries. However, there are two box stacks that people can hide behind, making it somewhat risky to move forward without utility.

The third modification is a minor one that involves adding huge symbols of a shrimp and a crab to the pyramids on site A to aid with callouts. At the beginning of VALORANT Episode Seven, Act Two, these adjustments are anticipated to go into effect later this month.
