After a brief period in which it will be playable in its own queue, Sunset, the tenth map to formally join the VALORANT map pool, will be slipping into the active pool alongside the resurfacing Breeze. Fights for control of the map might start right away thanks to the short distances between spawn barriers. The mid-region is accessible in a variety of ways, which makes both defending it and attacking it fascinating.

Both locations have perfectly square plant areas, but the B site stands out since it includes a big pillar in the middle that requires some maneuvering. If you need more information about the VALORANT Sunset map, these are the top 4 tips and tricks for playing this map, then Read carefully, and don’t forget to share with your friends.

4. Take mid control

The center of the entire map is Mid. Maps in VALORANT have used this idea before, but Sunset makes it feel particularly significant. In the B Market, Mid offers a direct route that is best suited for executions that result in a B split. The green-roof shed that may be employed by a Sage wall or Jett Updraft to peer directly into Mid and view the defense side, bottom Mid, or the attacker side of Mid, is quite intriguing.

The opening move of the round should be for either side to smoke off the main chokepoint of the opposing side. Early on, you cannot afford to cede Mid-control. The defenders will locate you fast if you give up control while attacking. Your other defenders will now need to guard even more angles because the attackers can now come from practically anywhere if you give up control on defense.

3. Embrace being a rat

There are numerous crevices that are new, and developing, and even some veteran players have a tendency to forget to examine each time. There are several built-in corners to clear in places like A Elbow and Mid Tiles, and there are many boxes protruding from the walls that people can hide behind.

If you want to be particularly cheeky and unpleasant, play an agent like Chamber or Reyna who can grab an initial kill and escape danger for nothing. Use such corners to your advantage to gain opening kills. On the other hand, keep in mind that your competitors might be just as shabby and are probably going to be, so make sure you are properly inspecting corners. Bring your Judge, too.

2. Load up on the B site

As a result of its favorable layout for controllers to smoke off, Sunset’s B site seems noticeably simpler to take. This allows the attacking side to quickly lay down plants on the attacker-friendly side of the site before withdrawing to B Main to play post-plants. There are various places to hide, but A site seems to have a lot more defender-friendly angles. Additionally, retaking on A feels much simpler until the attackers have already entered the defensive spawn through A Alley.

1. Bring Harbor or Viper or both

Because Omen and Brimstone’s smokes aren’t large enough to entirely cover some critical chokepoints, Harbor and Viper are noticeably stronger options than the other controllers on Sunset because of their wall cover skills. Pro players used the Harbor/Viper combo right away to partition off the B site and take it repeatedly in the very first sight of Sunset, which took place behind closed doors at the Riot Games Arena.
