In the last four LCK seasons, Faker hasn't lost to a single LoL champion

The most astounding aspect of Faker's Corki streak, though, may have been his capacity to change course midway through it and accept a fresh build for the champion.

We’re currently watching the greatest League of Legends player of all time, Faker, embark on yet another historic personal run with absurd stats that come naturally to him. Faker has a few famous champions that he has been able to trademark. Players are rarely able to win so consistently with numerous iconic champions.

In today’s LCK playoff match against Dplus KIA, he demonstrated one of them by recording his 17th straight victory with Corki, a champion he has always been able to shine on throughout his career. If you need more information about the last four LCK seasons, Faker hasn’t lost to a single LoL champion, then read carefully, and don’t forget to share with your friends.

In the last four LCK seasons, Faker hasn’t lost to a single LoL champion:

After missing the whole month of July due to an arm injury, Faker was immediately inserted back into the T1 lineup last week. T1 urgently needed their top player back in the lineup as they had dropped seven out of their past eight games without Faker over the previous month. T1 is currently engaged in another LCK playoff run.

But after just three series, Faker is acting as though he never left. And today he selected his recently unbeatable Corki to guarantee T1’s spot in the LCK Summer Playoffs’ second round. One of the professional League’s most remarkable streaks was on the line when Faker chose Corki for game three of today’s best-of-five match against Dplus KIA. Faker and Corki hadn’t lost a match before today’s games, which occurred in April 2020. That assertion is still valid after today’s game.

Since losing to Corki for the last time on April 22, 2020, Faker has won 17 straight games against the champion. According to the LoL metrics website Games of Legends, throughout this victory streak, Faker has used Corki to defeat nine different teams while accumulating a KDA of 6.34 throughout the 17 games.

Faker’s 17-game victory streak with the Daring Bombardier is notable for the fact that he has rarely used Corki in international games. All except one of the victories—one, at the Mid-Season Cup between the LCK and China’s LPL during the height of the pandemic—have come in regional LCK competitions. The most astounding aspect of Faker’s Corki streak, though, may have been his capacity to change course midway through it and accept a fresh build for the champion.

In 2020, Corki was constructed as an AD-focused damage source (and the champion was shelved for the whole of 2021), but in 2022, he returned with a more AP-heavy build that prioritized gear like Luden’s Tempest and Void Staff rather than Infinity Edge and Trinity Force. But no matter what Faker is erecting on Corki, the outcome has remained the same.

According to Games of Legends, Faker has an overall record of 36-12 vs. Corki. Even if Corki isn’t necessarily a “meta” selection right now, Faker has repeatedly shown that he can bring him out and win—especially throughout the last 17 times he’s faced him.
