After that, Pokémon TCG Live debuted on June 8. A brief but thorough tutorial explaining the fundamentals of gameplay and the currency system was provided to new players.  Players will have obtained the Chien-Pao ex deck by the tutorial’s conclusion thanks to Pokémon TCG Live’s free Basic Battle Pass. If you need more information about How the Live Battle Pass for Pokémon TCG Works, then read carefully and don’t forget to share with your friends.

How the Live Battle Pass for Pokémon TCG Works:

The Premium Pokémon TCG Live Battle Pass is released at the same time as the Basic version. Players who purchase the Premium version of the Battle Pass have the potential to earn 100 tier rewards over about nine weeks, with each Battle Pass having 50 tiers of rewards. Additionally, there are various items included in each tier reward, ranging from booster packs and credits to Ultra Rare cards like Wo-Chien ex.

Coins, Crystals, and Credits are the three main types of currency in the digital card game for Pokémon.

  • Coins: obtained by completing quests, achieving Battle Pass tiers, leveling up, and trading Crystals for Coins. Coins are used by players to buy things like avatars, deck boxes, and card sleeves.
  • Credits: Obtained by leveling up, receiving more than four copies of a card, unlocking Battle Pass tiers, and collecting 59 basic energy cards. In the Deck Editor, players can unlock specific cards using Credits.
  • Crystals: obtained by completing quests, gaining access to Battle Pass tiers, and leveling up.

Players can acquire the XP and Crystals necessary to buy either a Premium or Premium+ Pokémon TCG Live Battle Pass by playing frequently and finishing daily quests. Players will also receive Crystals for moving up tiers in the Basic Battle Pass.

Players who are new or infrequently playing must first acquire Credits through gameplay. Players can upgrade to a Premium Battle Pass by earning 600 Credits by completing daily quests in both the Casual and Ranked modes. The Plus version, which costs 1,800 Credits and after purchase unlocks 15 tiers, is available.

When I first started playing Pokémon, I was a little miffed that I couldn’t immediately buy the Premium+ Battle Pass as I could in Magic: The Gathering Arena or Legends of Runeterra.

When you have enough Credits, the Battle Pass Premium version is worthwhile to buy, but the Plus version will probably lose a lot of value—at least in my opinion—unless I need to unlock those 15 tiers before the Battle Pass expires. Pokémon TCG Live is now available to free-to-play players, who can start gaining XP, Coins, and Credits. From June 8 to about nine weeks later, the next Battle Pass is expected to launch.
