Hogwarts Legacy is full of different classes, and one of the most entertaining is Mirabel Garlick’s Herbology class. The earliest assignment the green-thumbed teacher requires players to secure a Venomous Tentacula and a Mandrake.
These two magical plants are very powerful items that players can use in combat. The Venomous Tentacula offers a lot of passive damage to enemies over time. It is famous for its spiky branches and venomous properties.

In order to try out Venomus Tentacula and a Mandrake for Professor Garlick’s Assignement 1, players will be required to acquire some seeds. The Venomous Tentacula and Mandrake can be bought from Dogweed and Deathcap, which is a magical plant shop located in Hogsmeade.
Players can find the shop by heading directly to the north of the village. Once you’ve entered the shop, players will be able to buy Venomous Tentacula seeds from Beatrice Green, who sells them for 1,050 Galleons each.
Players will be able to buy Mandrake Seeds for 800 Galleons. Combta Tool versions of both can also be bought from Beatrice for 600 and 500 Galleons, respectively.
Thankfully, growing them is pretty easy in the game, though players will need to progress through the story until they unlock the Room of Requirement. Once players manage to access the Room of Requirement, they need to purchase the Large Potting Table conjuration recipe from Tomes and Scrolls. Now, players need to return to the Room, conjure the Large table, and then they need to plant the seeds they bought from Dogweed and Deathcap.
Unlocking the Room of Requirement in Hogwarts Legacy needs players to complete a quest that is called The Room of Requirement. This quest is also a part of the game’s main story, so it’s unlikely you’ll miss it.
During the course of this quest, players will get to see Professor Weasley and Dekk, the house elf. They will not only show players the Room of Requirement but also teach them the Alterning Spell and the Conjuring Spell. However, players will be able to use these two spells inside the Room of Requirement only.
Hogwarts Legacy players are most likely to come across the quest after playing the game’s main campaign for a few hours. It only appears after players have completed the Tomes and Tribulations quest, so players need to keep an eye on this one to know if they are on the right path to unlock the Room of requirement.
